Muse will release their new single 'Panic Station' on June 3rd on Helium 3 / Warner Brothers Records. The single is the fourth track to be taken from the band's platinum selling sixth studio album 'The 2nd Law' and sees the band take to the streets of Tokyo in the awesome accompanying video. The single also features a remix by French producer Madeon.

Having opened the BRITs this year with an incredible performance of their previous single 'Supremacy', the band also recently played an intimate show in aid of War Child at London's iconic Shepherds Bush Empire to celebrate 20 years of the charity. The performance received outstanding reviews from both critics and fans alike.

The band are currently nearing the end of their US tour and, having just played two nights at Madison Square Gardens in NYC, will embark on their biggest stadium tour to date this May, with very special guest Dizzee Rascal appearing at all UK shows. Bastille will also join the band in Coventry on May 22nd, London on May 25th and Manchester on June 1st.

According to Muselive.com, Muse are set to debut  'Survival', their brand new single for the London 2012 Olympics, tonight (27th June 2012) on BBC Radio 1.

The station will premiere the track at 7.30pm (BST) on Zane Lowe's show and will be the band’s first new track since they released their last album back in 2009.

The band released a statement on their website announcing that the band’s new track had been selected by LOCOG as London 2012's official song.

“We are very excited to announce that a Muse song, Survival, has been selected by the London Olympic committee to be the main official song for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Matt wrote the song with the Olympics in mind. It's about total conviction and pure determination to win.”

The statement from the band also added “We are honoured that the Olympics have chosen our song to officially represent the London 2012 Olympic Games across the globe.”

The band's new album is the follow-up to 2009's 'The Resistance' and has been recorded in London. Little has been revealed about the album so far, though there are rumors that this album will have much more “electronic” sound. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme has said that the band wanted to do "something radically different" on their new LP.

Muse have also unveiled a video for their upcoming studio album recently which can be seen below. The video ends with the words 'The 2nd Law' and 'September 2012', which is possibly a hint towards the official release date.

The band is also set to play five shows across the UK in October at venues including Manchester Arena and London's O2 Arena. The gigs are set to be a hit with 3 dates sold out already and the remaining nights have only limited tickets available.
